The Taco Fish
The Taco Fish is a Mexican Grill and Sushi Bar. An odd combination but then knowing Otto Bond, co-owner and head chef, it makes completely sense. Co-Owned with his brother Jacob, it's located just off Main Street a few blocks from the police station. It's still new with a small but friendly staff. The menu is full of randomly named dishes with various Mexican choices and a large sushi selection. Seafood is a favorite ingredient but chicken, beef, and vegetarian dishes are just as easily found.
Otto loves to cook and he loves kids. Anyone under the 8 year old age limit can pretty much order close to anything and get it. There is also an effort to consider some of the more dietary restricted, like vampires and the bar area offers a few specialty drinks. Any vampire looking for a free meal can offer to spend a few hours trying various attempts to change up the flavor of blood and mixing it to make some variety for them too.
The building is an old refurbished restaurant. Previously a greasy burger joint in a two level building where the upstairs wasn't much used, it has kept a lot of its original look. The outside is cleaned up and has old architectural features. On the inside though, you can see the personality of its owners. There is a sort of order and practicality to the layout courtesy of Jacob who tends to be mostly focused on the business side. The decorations though tend to be downright amusing thanks to Otto. Panda Bears wearing sombreros, Hispanic bright colors to traditional looking, koi fish wielding sushi knives against other koi fish brandishing a burrito. During the day it is quite bright with lots of natural light coming in the evening the lights are dimmed so there is a more intimate feel.Upstairs has been changed around to now offer an apartment and office in the space. The outside to the back offers a nice sitting area for those nice nights.
Hours of operation are kind of varied. During the week opening at 2pm and closing when business is done. On weekends The Taco Fish opens around 11am and again stays open till business is done. If that is early as 9pm then so be it, if that is 2am then that's how it works.
