Shifter Territories
The large red dot on the map represents both the general environs of this version of Stone Mountain and its surrounding areas, and the territory of the Stone Mountain Cat Colony. Before the Great Reveal, Stone Mountain was of little use to the Atlanta Cats, other than as an occasional hunting ground for new youngsters to infect. After the Great Reveal, the SM Colony has found itself in the unenviable position of many groups through the century-- they're now in conflict's crosshairs, not for any intrinsic worth, but because of their strategic value.
Wolves and Bears, like their bestial counterparts, have huge territories. The Bears' territory boundaries roughly track along the human geopolitical lines of the state. Sections of territory belong to individual bear families spread over the state, but the whole of the territory belongs to the whole Stone Mountain Den. Many of the bears are concentrated in the Atlanta area, but there are bears meeting with the Davises at the moons, who are otherwise spread throughout Georgia.
The Wolves' territory takes in part of Alabama, and extends almost down to Tallahassee, Florida on the southwestern corner (not shown here.) Atlanta is considered neutral territory for any Wolf driving through or flying in, though permission must be granted for any but the briefest transitory stay. However, if an outside Wolf impinges on Pack territory outside Atlanta, or starts up trouble, or tries to build their own Pack, that is when the Stone Mountain Pack will step in to oust the invader.
Because the Wolves' territory is so large, there are smaller, satellite Packs spread throughout the territory. These are led by Remuses who report to the Lycaon and Loba of Stone Mountain on a regular basis, and bow to Stone Mountain's authority in all major executive decisions. These satellite Packs serve as sentries, communication nodes, income streams, and sometimes, places of exile.
The only Lupercal in the territory is in Stone Mountain, so it is akin to the Territory's 'holy city.' Every Wolf wants to spend as many moons as possible in Stone Mountain's Lupercal, but because the territory is so large, it is not logistically possible for every Wolf to appear at the Lupercal for every moon.
