Tabael "Tabbi" Hirschl - Runninggrass
Stats:
Gender: Male Age: 22 Nature: Cougar Occupation: Choral Teacher, Life-guard, European Swordplay Instructor, Cougar Private First Class Appearance: Long, dark auburn hair, almost the color of dark, natural honey, flows over his shoulders in waves, heavy, dark brows, a large nose, full lips. . . Not quite purely masculine, but not really feminine either. He's a pretty man, but man he most certainly is. Flat chested and dressed in clothing that accents his maleness. His hair is his one weakness and it's often left to flow down his back and over his shoulders. One of his favorite things is letting it fan out in the water. |

That is, it was until he got it shorn completely off joining the new shifter military.
Beneath that pretty face with those fetching amber colored eyes is a body that is well toned as most shifters tend to be, if small. He stands at a nondescript 5'8.
Shifted Appearance: Tabbi's cougar body is slim and well muscled, red as the setting sun and tipped in black. About seven and a half feet long, including his tail.
Personality: Usually, Tabbi's a solid, reliable, sweet young man. Ready with a smile, polite and considerate in all his dealings. He's not very quick to interject much or often to the talks he has with people and is an excellent listener. Usually.
But then again, Tabbi is somewhat ruled by his passions. While he is always soft spoken, strong emotions will move him to do or say things he normally would not. Anger, hatred, joy, sadness, and especially love. The teacher loves with a single-minded determination. It's not quite obsession, but it's quite close to it. He will pledge to do anything, endure anything, just for the sake of his Love's happiness. It's not that he neglects himself to achieve this goal, but rather that his first priority is to those he loves. The man loves with an all encompassing sort love. Completely understanding, completely forgiving, and forever. Or so the poor dear believes. He's a bit of a hopeless romantic, our Tabbi.
Incredibly loyal and patriotic, he's always cried when singing (or even just hearing) the National Anthem!
Tabbi loves video games, especially the old consoles, and when he's not grading papers, planning lessons, going to rehearsals, or other life-type things, he's usually parked on his couch playing some old NES or SNES game.
Because of the way he cares about people, Tabbi can be easily manipulated and taken advantage of, but when he knows what he wants or wants to give, he's firm even if people try to stop him.
Very quiet, often with modestly lowered eyes, one might not believe that he's quite the singer. His warm tenor voice gives him much pride and strength of purpose. When he sings, he lights up from inside and even forgets where he is. He becomes the music. At least, that's what it feels like to him. It's not that he sings with the pipes of Julie Andrews, but that he simply loves to sing, regardless of how good he is (Which is actually quite good, he's a choral major, after all), or if anyone can hear him. He's singing most of the day anyway, when not in conversation with others.
History: Tabbi is the youngest son of banker Yacob Hirschl and his wife, Anna. He grew up happily with his large family, though he was the quietest and most introspective of the group. When he's not being shy, he can be just as fun loving and adventurous and excitable as his kin.
He knew he wanted to have a career in music from a young age. He loved singing. Loved it more than just about anything, even Mama's Matzah balls. . . It was no surprise when he finished High School with several musical scholarships.
He studied music education at UA, and though he graduated with full honors, it took him time to find a job. All of the schools in Atlanta proper had music teachers already. . . But when the middle-school choir teacher in Stone Mountain retired, Tabbi was quick to dump his resume in the laps of the Board. He wasn't sure he'd get the job, but when he did, he was thrilled. Most of the teachers still remembered him from their classes and still teased him about his occasional misadventures.
He's happily settled in a small, two bedroom apartment in town. He loves his work, he loves his family. Life is good.
Life was good, until the President dropped the private lives into the media. Well, not private lives, but. . . Still. Tabbi, however, wasn't worried so much about that as he was about the threat to his country. He was one of the first volunteers for the new Shifter Army, Cougar division.
Abilities: Tabbi can sing very well, and is very understanding and caring for others. Not quite empathic in the truest sense of the word, but close. He is a good cook, though he won't cook just for himself. He's an excellent sword-fighter.
Weaknesses: He's easily manipulated and somewhat gullible and possibly slightly bi-polar. He's terrified of heights and despises driving.
Quirks: He cooks when he's worried about something, which comes from his Hebraic background, as his mother did quite the same thing, feeding away the bad thoughts and bringing the family together with her meals. TABBI HATES ALL THINGS FISHY. . . Fish, shrimp, crabs, lobster, all the usual sea and freshwater delicacies? Totally make him gag. HE ALSO LOVES THE BEACH. Note the use of capitalization here. . .DID I MENTION HE LOVES THE BEACH!? Oh. Okay. Good. Because he so, totally, does. . .
Weapons: A pair of silver-plated swords, with long, heavily leather wrapped steel hilts. A myriad of wooden practice swords. He actually has a small handgun under his mattress, just in case. And now any weapons given to him by his new military overlords.
