Naomi Mara Hastings- AaronStats:
Gender: Female Age: 30 Nature: Cat Occupation: Server at Denny's Appearance: Height: 5'3" Weight: 125 lbs. Naomi has reddish hair somewhere in color between cedar wood and honey, straight as an arrow with not a bit of curl and kept just long enough to permit it to be kept up in a ponytail. Her eyes are bluish gray. She has a hint of a dusting of freckles across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, on her forearms, and on various spots across her body depending on time spent in the sun. |

Naomi has an impressively fit frame, muscles well-toned, with smallish breasts and somewhat narrow hips - all in all leading to a somewhat boyish but not overly masculine appearance. She is compact and athletic, and she usually dresses casually or comfortably with little regard to her appearance; however, she does know how to turn on the charm and does so occasionally if for no other reason than to feel pretty - to feel sexually powerful.
Personality: Naomi is a strong, independent and bull-headed girl who wants to do things her way. Once she has her mind set to doing something, she will do it, and anyone who tells her she cannot becomes a source of her scorn and a desire to prove them wrong. She has a rebellious streak, and many of her hobbies and passions have a root in simply doing something other than what her parents did, or other than what is expected of her. While she has a long history of independence of thought and of action, her newfound nature will see her finding a longing for social contact, for companionship that she had never really known beyond her appreciation for - but not a need for - a mate who shared her passions.
History: Born: 7 October 1986
Naomi was born the only child of a homemaker and seamstress and an architect who worked for a large firm in Phoenix and who maintained several hobbies Naomi never appreciated - Star Wars, science fiction and fantasy novels, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, and all manner of other somewhat stereotypically "nerdy" interests. Between her mother's occupation with sewing - she made 100% cotton pillows for a small company whose owner had experience with allergies to synthetic fibers and created a business to cater to those with similar problems - and her father's tendency to invite his friends over for table-top night, Naomi's rebellious streak began to develop as a strong dislike for the indoors and all things sedentary.
The girl soon found herself playing all manner of sports - softball, volleyball - but she found herself settling on soccer, because it was not a "girl's sport." She also attempted to join the Boy Scouts of America, unimpressed with a distorted image of the Girl Scouts as cookie peddlers, but when she was excluded for her obvious lack of the proper physiology, she did, in fact, join the Girl Scouts and quickly began to prepare for the time when she would be allowed to join the Venturers, a coed organization sponsored by both the Boy and Girl Scouts that focused on trekking, orienteering, and various other wilderness-focused activities. Naomi was eventually awarded the highest Silver Award as a Senior Scout.
As soon as Naomi finished high school, she left to see the world. Without telling her parents precisely where she was going - in fact, she did not know herself - she set off across the United States, hitch hiking where necessary, working odd jobs and living from day to day. She sent home post cards regularly, though never twice from the same ZIP code. She saw all of the sights from Cape Canveral to Puget Sound, climbing mountains, braving deserts, and traversing forests and fields. While in Atlanta, working as a waitress, at the age of 25, Naomi met a rough and tumble type named Greg. While what they had could never have been mistaken for love, Naomi enjoyed the sex.
It was soon quite obvious that things would not work out long term between the two of them, but by that time, Naomi had been infected. She soon discovered that Greg was a werecat with connections to a local gang of cats, and soon, Naomi was trapped. Greg eventually got her with child, and she gave birth to a child she named Madeleine after Greg's mother in an attempt to inspire any kind of love or attachment to the child in hopes he would treat her well. Naomi's attempt to manipulate Greg failed spectacularly, and from a young age, Naomi taught the girl not to trust her birth father, that he was nothing more than a sperm donor, and waited for their chance to escape.
Abilities: Naomi has orienteering and wilderness survival training and is extremely well fit physically.
Weaknesses: Naomi is stubborn to the point where she will do something she comes to know is stupid or unwise simply because she has decided already to do it or because someone has attempted to convince her not to do it or told her she cannot do it.
Quirks: Naomi hates GPS devices, smart phones, PDA's, and even has a healthy skepticism of mp3 players that do more than play music.
Weapons: Naomi owns no weapons, but she has self-defense training.
Family:
Father: Vaughn Hastings, architect (+35 years)
Mother: Ruth Hastings, seamstress (+30 years)
Husband: Greg Lehrer
Daughter: Madeleine Hastings Lehrer (Hastings is her middle name.)
Vehicle: Naomi walks or uses public transportation, though she is looking into acquiring a car to facilitate her escape from Greg.
Home: Naomi shares a pitiful apartment with Greg in Atlanta.
