Leonard Morris Kravitz - Shannon
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Nature: Human
Occupation: IT person for the Stone Mountain school district
Appearance:
Leo did not inherit good looks from any part of his family tree. He’s a little on the short side for a guy, at about 5’8” and weighs about 130 pounds soaking wet. He has mousy brown hair, and his green eyes are typically hidden behind thick, horn-rimmed glasses. He has a large collection of geek-themed t-shirts, so that’s about 90 percent of what he wears. The other thing people notice about Leo is that he’s constantly moving, either fiddling with pens, tapping his foot, or just pacing.
Personality:
Leo is one of those people that would be doing well in life if he’d just get out of his own way. He tends to overthink and second-guess just about every decision he makes. That said, when it comes to other people, he’s pretty easy-going. One of his friends is in a polyamorous relationship? Rock on, dude. His grandma is a nosy gossip? Yes, but she makes fantastic cookies and she’s his favorite relative.
He’s a little socially awkward, having apparently missed the memo that being nerdy is cool. But if you can get him to relax and turn off his brain, he’s got an unexpected sense of humor.
Somewhat to his own surprise, he’s found himself surrounded by shifters. His roommate is a Bear, and some of his friends are Wolves. He’s pretty sure he himself doesn’t want to be infected, though, but he admires a lot about Shifters, particularly their unashamed sensuality.
History:
Leonard Morris Kravitz was born on January 17, 1994. Naturally, he was named after the singer, although his mother’s attempts to make the nickname Lenny stick never actually worked. He was the only boy in his family, but had three older sisters, who fussed over him and made him something of a pet. He loves his parents, and adores his father’s mother, the redoubtable Mrs. K.
Leo was way too smart for his own good, and ended up skipping a grade, so he graduated from high school early. He could have had his pick of any colleges, but ended up going to school in Savannah. He majored in computer science, and got all the certifications he needed to work in IT, spending several semesters working at the IT help desk on campus.
When he was fifteen, he came out to his family as gay. His family was supportive. Some of them were even a little too supportive, insisting on finding nice gay boys to set him up with. But Leo hasn’t managed a steady relationship yet, mostly because he’s fairly oblivious to anyone actually showing any kind of interest in him.
Shortly after he graduated from college, he was the unfortunate victim of a gay-bashing. He was out with friends, and they were attacked outside of a gay bar. From then on, Savannah didn’t seem like a safe place, so Leo packed up and moved to Stone Mountain, because it’s where his grandma still lives. He lived with her for a while, but about six months ago, he moved in with a roommate, on the theory that if he didn’t live with his grandma, he might be able to have a love life.
He works as an IT person for the local school district, and when he’s not on the clock, he’s usually running errands for his grandma, or playing video games, or engaging in other geek hobbies.
Abilities: He wouldn’t call himself a hacker, but he’s picked up a few of those skills. His grandma has the best wi-fi of anybody in that apartment building, for example
Weaknesses: He’s got a touch of ADHD, and is pretty much just socially awkward.
Quirks: His ideal man is Jayne from Firefly. Cisko is the best captain. He was obviously sorted into Ravenclaw.
Weapons: No. But he does have a replica of Vera on display in his apartment.
Family: His grandma, Mrs. Kravitz. His parents, Stan and Barbara. Three older sisters, Jessica, Amanda, and Cindy.
Vehicle: Sadly, not a Tardis. Just an old Volvo.
Home: An apartment that he shares with Daniel Bruen.
