Ground & Pound Gym
Sitting along the old industrial road in Stone Mountain is Ground & Pound Gym. Founded by well know underground fighter Seraphena ‘The Rogue’ LaRogue, Ground & Pound is now owned by the Stone Mountain Pack. The converted warehouse caters to humans and lycs alike during the day and becomes strictly shifters only after 8pm.
The main entrance leads to the office where people can sign up for everything from self defense classes and martial arts training to basic gymnastic and tumbling classes for children. Through the office is a stairway to an upstairs loft with a balcony over looking the first floor. The loft is set up like a small apartment giving the owner a place to relax during long shifts of work.
The first floor stretches out across nearly a block lit by windows high up on the walls and skylights dotting the ceiling. The walls are covered in thick black gym pads. Upon entering there is a sectioned off classroom to the right for instructors to teach their lessons. In the middle of the floor is a large square mat used for gymnastics and sparring. At the far end of the building are a set of locker rooms for men and women complete with bathroom stalls, changing rooms and showers. Throughout the gym are various pieces of exercise, gymnastic equipment and free weights for just about any work out imaginable.
The basement is only entered through the main part of the building by a door near the office labeled ‘storage’. The down stairs is a much darker stretch with an identical set of locker rooms at the far end. The ring sits in the middle of the room made of cement and piping. The chain link fence that normally surrounds it is taken down when not in use. There is a set of back doors along one wall for emergencies only. They open into the forest behind the building for quick escapes.
