The Clark Road Baptist Church
The Clark Road Bible Church is a congregation of about five hundred, one of the larger churches in Stone Mountain. A few of the older members are quite wealthy, and the overall contribution has allowed for the church to have a modern, remodeled interior, though the original church building has stood on its current grounds for almost 100 years.
The church has grown over the years and includes a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a large sanctuary-auditorium (part of the original building - the church's traditional, a cappella service is held here), as well as a large "family life center," that contains classrooms and a multi-purpose room that serves as a gymnasium as well as auxiliary auditorium space (the church's contemporary, instrumental service geared toward younger members is held here). Both the multi-purpose room and the sanctuary-auditorium have been upgraded with high-tech audio visual equipment that the ministry and praise and worship staff use during the services.
The church's grounds are well-kept and landscaped, and there is plenty of parking space as well as a large memorial playground dedicated to the deceased wife of one of the elder members.
Sunday morning services:
9 AM: Traditional Service
10 AM: Bible Class
11 AM: Contemporary Service
Sunday evening service: 6 PM
Wednesday evening service: 7 PM
